Terms of Service
The deal, written plainly.
These terms are the agreement between you and Level. We have tried to write them the way we write everything else: plainly.
Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Level. We have tried to write them the way we write everything else: plainly.
Level costs $1 a month. In exchange, the app works for you: no ads, no recommendation algorithm in your feed, no public popularity counts, no selling your attention or your data. You are the customer.
You need to be at least 13 years old to use Level. You sign in with your email address, Apple, or Google. Keep access to your sign-in email secure — it is how your account is recovered. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
One person, one account, used like a person uses it. Bots, bulk accounts, impersonation, and selling accounts are not allowed.
Membership is $1/month, billed through Apple as an auto-renewing subscription. Apple handles the payment itself; we never see your payment details. You can cancel anytime in your Apple subscription settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month. Apple's refund policies apply to refunds.
If your membership lapses, you lose access to the network until it renews — but your account and everything you posted stays yours, exactly as you left it. Lapsing is not punished.
There is no free tier, no trial, and no annual plan. One price for everyone.
What you post is yours. We do not own it, and we do not sell it.
So that Level can function, you give us permission to store, process, display, and transmit your content within the service — that is what makes a post appear in your followers' feeds, a photo load, a message deliver. This permission ends for a piece of content when you delete it, and for everything when you delete your account, except where someone else's copy is involved (see section 7) or where a short technical window is needed to finish removal.
You are responsible for having the rights to what you post.
Level is built to feel like real social life. Use it that way:
We can remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts that break these rules. For anything short of the zero-tolerance category, we aim to be proportionate: moderation should fix problems, not perform toughness.
The Privacy Policy describes what we store and why. The short version: we store what the product needs to work, we do not run ads, we do not sell data, and we do not track you across other apps and websites.
You can delete your account anytime in Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your profile, posts, stories, media, likes, and follows are erased, and your stored media is removed from our systems.
Two honest exceptions, modeled on how letters work in real life:
Your handle is reserved for 30 days after deletion (so nobody can impersonate you the day after you leave), then becomes available again. See the Privacy Policy for the small, time-limited record this requires.
We work hard to keep Level fast and available, but we cannot promise perfection: Level is provided "as is," without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
We may change or discontinue features as Level evolves. If we ever discontinued Level entirely, we would give as much notice as we reasonably could.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Level after that means you accept the updated terms. We will not change the spirit of the deal quietly.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Washoe County, Nevada, unless applicable law gives you the right to your local courts. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Your download of the app itself is also covered by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms govern the Level service.
